When people say, “it’s a small world”, it is usually a term said accompanied by a “wow” and what a wow this is! A few months ago I was contacted by a person via Facebook who had been following my photography work through Social Media. She had asked me if I could photograph her daughter’s engagement, and of course I was thrilled as I am each time a couple is entrusting me to document such milestones. The wow comes from how long ago I met Yvette and now to photograph her daughter Rosana who is not only grown into a gorgeous young lady she is now a new mommy and soon-to-be bride!
Rosana loves all things “girly” like traveling, hanging out with her girlfriends, Pinterest, Victoria’s Secret. She’s in the business of “beautification” herself as a talented hair and makeup artist who gives much of her time and talent to her clients. Mike on the other hand, a talented and skilled tradesman loves to go fishing, travel, spend time with friends, he loves to work out, and both avid San Francisco 49er fans!
Speaking of 49ers, we picked a date to shoot in San Francisco and guess who was playing that same day in Seattle Washington? Yep, you guessed it. With this being the only date available to shoot, we went all out and made sure we had our radios and iphones readily available to keep up with the score in between shoot locations. Ok ok, so we lost that game, but as we drove past Coit Tower, guess what was lit up red and gold???? Take a peek for yourselves we could see it directly across from Lombard Street. We later drove to the Embarcadero and there we had it again, this time it was the Ferry Building..lit up red and gold! City Hall was also lit! We may have missed the game on TV but we were on a mission and we had a great cause!
Together they have become quite the family with little Jackson who was also with us during the shoot was a total dream of a child. They both expressed how important it was to both of them that he be present for the re-creation of their proposal since he was in the midst soon after they found out they were expecting last year. Together as a unit they enjoy nightlife, cooking, socializing, discovering new eateries, sports and movie nights at home. Music is also important to them and they both love an array of different genres such as Country, hip hop, rap, r&b. and Mike loves to listen to good ole rock n’ roll.
Big plans to come for this beautiful family and we could not be happier for them….currently planning their destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, I am sure they are in for the ride of their lives! Join me in congratulating Rosana and Mike, and now for the fun part….a sneak peek into their day with us in front of the camera! Congratulations again!!!
