Roger & Alexis Barr – A San Francisco city scape wedding

Union Square Wedding San Francisco

As San Francisco Wedding Photographers and Videographers we are fortunate to have such beautiful locations in our city that are captivating, open and just plain stunning.  Take for example, a wedding we photographed for our clients in San Francisco.  Alexis and Roger raised the “BARR” with their wedding, which I like to classify as a top notch City Scape theme!

Alexis as a wedding professional and San Francisco NACE Board Member herself,   knew exactly how she wanted her day to look and feel.  Her designs schemes were exquisite and breathtaking and made possible by Blue Water Party Rentals.  Roger is also in the wedding and event business and there is just no way these two would miss anything!
We would like to share a sneak peek into their day with this lovely wedding fusion video.  YStudio would also like to thank Josh Rodriguez for partnering up with us and providing the film making!

Enjoy some of the photos from the wedding and fusion sneak peek….and check later for the full length Wedding Highlights Video….coming SOON!

ROCK the Dress Sessions – Bridal Couture at the Hotel Shattuck Plaza

We all know, no matter how long you have been planning for your big day, it will be busy and it will fly by before you know it. I encourage all of my brides to consider a Rock the Dress session which may or may not include the groom.

These sessions are designed to allow our clients to see themselves in all their wedding glory before their wedding day. Another plus is that you will have one less thing to worry about on your wedding day. There is nothing worse than brushing off photography and later regretting getting some of these gorgeous images. Have more than one dress? Well let’s ROCK that DRESS!!!

A very special San Francisco City Hall Wedding

Many times when we receive a call for weddings, we often can’t wait to meet the couple and see what will be unique about THIS wedding! I received an inquiry from an old young friend of mine, Beatriz. She and I have known each other for years and I was thrilled when she thought of us to capture her daughter’s wedding.  Not only was that a treat, but there was a bun in the oven and I was ready to put together a beautiful pictorial not only for the bride, the groom, and the family, but the baby that was soon to arrive! What a thrill!

This family was amazing, unique and ready to celebrate a very special occasion, one that was in the waiting and filled with love, anticipation, and joy! The ceremony took place at the San Francisco City Hall Mayor’s Balcony which was reserved for this couple. See here a beautiful bride who is expecting a whole new life together with her new husband, her new addition and her new family.

Congrats to Erina & Roger, we look forward to seeing you and your new family real soon!

A beautiful and cultural San Francisco Wedding

Here is yet another beautiful wedding shot in the city of San Francisco, as a second shooter for my colleague and peer, Robert Valdes of Robert Valdes Photography. I have had the opportunity of working with Robert on several occasions, and this was not just “beautiful”, elegant, and rich in Mexican culture and tradition, we as a team had so much fun!

St. Paul's church San Francisco Catholic wedding

When we arrived to the bride’s home where she was getting ready, I was totally taken by seeing her gown hanging in the front window. And although this is not officially my wedding, it took my breath away, and it set the tone for the day, I knew many more gorgeous details were forthcoming! Talk about inspiration.

The wedding ceremony took place at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, which also happens to be where they filmed Whoopi Goldberg‘s “Sister Act” movie. The reception at breathtaking Ruby Hill Winery in Pleasanton, Ca.

I love shooting second, it really allows for creativity beyond the norm. If you are seeking for your wedding photographer, I would highly recommend to opt for a wedding collection that includes a second shooter, the perspectives and the coverage are always enlightening, and it gives you many options for your wedding album and portraits.

San Francisco Wedding Photography contest, Hawaii Wedding Photography contest
As a San Francisco Bay Area and Hawaii wedding and lifestyle photographer, I love what happens when I meet my clients, hear about their stories, how they met, how they became engaged, family traditions, cultures and their dynamics. I also relish in hearing about special locations couples love to visit and why it means so much to them. If it means so much to them, it has to mean something special to me because this is my canvas, this is where I begin to tell…..their wedding story.

I love that each one of our Wedding Collections includes the Engagement Session , these are essential sessions for my couples as it helps them to see themselves in a whole new light, and I love the extra time we have to get to know each other. Telling stories of LOVE through photography are nothing if they don’t speak out about the couple and their love for each other. Embracing all of these elements will produce a lovely wedding/engagement album which will become heirlooms and one of the most cherished things a bride will possess.
